Evelyn “Evie” Waite was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica and raised in New York City. She developed a love for food and track and field from an early age. Went from the track field to the court playing basketball in junior high and high school. Spent her childhood and young adult years, up to her sophomore year of college volunteering in her community, no stranger to giving back and serving diligently. Evie started her college career at an HBCU- Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC before returning to the city that never sleeps to complete her last two years of her collegiate education at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Evie holds an undergraduate degree a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice/Computer Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a graduate degree a Master’s in Cybersecurity Management & Policy from the University of Maryland University Global Campus. She holds an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from The Community College of the Air Force. Evie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves in 2010 after starting her career in the federal government, however, after six years of military service decided not to re-enlist and focus on her civilian career where there was more opportunity for growth.
